Esther Yu, is a Chinese actress and singer. She is a former member of chinese girl band The9.

Esther Yu shot to fame as lead actress in the hit television series "Love Between Fairy and Devil" (苍兰诀 2022) and "Love Game in Eastern Fantasy" (永夜星河 2024) with lead actor Ding Yuxi.

Yu was born in Shanghai, China on 18 December 1995 (29) and is the only child in her family. Her grandfather (below) is chairman of Xinyu Iron and Steel Group, with affiliations to state-backed steelmakers; her parents are successful business personalities who run several property, steel and construction companies.

Yu graduated with a degree in Fashion Media and Industries from Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore; she is also disciple of Julian Cheung Chilam and wife Anita Yuen in acting.


Yu herself is also a shareholder and owner of many of her families' businesses and thus, thus, her rumoured net worth of 40 billion (rmb) is probably exaggerated but when taken together as a family fortune, the number is believed to be close.
